WOW.

I went out on a Xantos and a 6.5 and just got blown away. The wind in the bay was good so I hooked in and got planning and locked into the straps. As I left the bay I hit the wind line and just took off. I've never been so fast. I did a huge jump, well for me, and I landed it ok, but on the next wave I lost it and got a massive spin out. The board was planing sideways and I just hung on until I started to slow down.

Having scared myself silly, I went back and changed down to a 5.5. Sarah was on a 5.5 as well, and she tried a Bic Techno, a Fanatic Bee and a Starboard carve 145.

I had a great sail, just blasting around having a whale of a time.

On the way in I met Simon, so I followed him and started shouting to help him. He just took off and got straight into the straps (for the first time). It was brilliant, well done Simon.
